This fight has been in the making for a while now and here are three reasons why it HAS TO HAPPEN!

Darren Till has already received a title shot before his last defeat and Ben Askren was most likely next in line if he would have gotten the win against Masvidal. However now the focus is no longer on these two as potential title challengers but a dominant victory for either of them puts their name back in the hat at 170. This means that each fighter will have an added layer of pressure on themselves which will make the bout that much more compelling.

2. It's Fun Stylistically

This fight will go one of two ways; 1. Till rips Askren apart on the feet and punches his head off, 2. Askren gets a hold of the Brit and holds him to the canvas until he can get his hand raised. Either way it will be interesting to speculate which specialist will be able to implement their style.
